Lisa Carter Grist’s paintings reveal suggestions of landscapes, figures and objects within their often apparently abstract surfaces. From calligraphic marks to layered painterly surfaces Lisa is led by intuition and often frustration responding to moods, environment and the particular qualities of each mark.
